Two large draft bulls pull an enormous thatched-roof cart typical of Ceylonese transport, attended by two handlers in traditional dress.

• Massive wooden-wheeled cart loaded with an oversized thatched bundle or thatch-covered cargo
• Handler standing centre between the bulls in colourful sarong; second handler at right holding tether
• Dense avenue of coconut palms lining both sides of a paved colonial road
• Printed caption lower right: "Double Bullock Cart, Colombo."
• Soft colour tinting: blue-green palm canopy, earthy road surface, warm brown cart
