Field of Nanking - China - Postcard SP24 as is

Vintage postcard captioned “Field of Nanking,” showing a house and trees across a reflective pond. The reverse has a Matsuda & Co. trade mark from Yokohama, Japan.

Scene Details:

• Low building with a broad roof set among trees and cultivated greenery.
• Still water in the foreground reflects the shore and vegetation.
• Printed English caption “Field of Nanking” with Chinese characters and the number (13).
• Selective red colouring on plants near the centre of the view.

Postal Markings:

• Unused undivided reverse with a printed stamp box; no stamp or cancellation visible.
• No handwritten address or message visible.
• Matsuda & Co., Yokohama, Japan trade mark at upper left, with “Union Postale Universelle / Carte Postale” and Chinese lettering.
