Scene Details:

  • Three-storey stone building with Gothic Revival architecture
  • Central tower with flag flying at top
  • Multiple gabled dormers and pointed turrets along the roofline
  • Two arched entrance doorways visible on the facade
  • Several figures (students?) on the grounds in the foreground
  • Trees flanking the building on both sides
  • Soft colour tinting with pale blue and pink sky
  • Caption reads "The High School, Calgary, Alta." along the lower left edge

Postal Markings:

  • Green one cent King Edward VII stamp
  • Circular date stamp: Calgary, 1910
  • Machine wavy line cancellation
  • Handwritten message dated March 4/19, addressed to Renfrew (Ontario)
  • Message reads (partially): "Billie, arrived here after a long bound... tell you... strong like Calgary from... and Eleanor..."
