Wu Lung Pond - Nanking City China - Postcard SP24 as is

Vintage postcard captioned “Wu lung pond, Nanking City,” showing a pavilion beside a pond among trees. The reverse carries the Matsuda & Co. Yokohama, Japan trade mark and is unused.

Scene Details:

• Chinese-style pavilion with a curved roof on the far shore of a pond.
• Trees and foliage around the water, with reflections in the foreground.
• Selective red colouring on the pavilion and a nearby tree.
• Printed English and Chinese caption with the number (55).

Postal Markings:

• Unused undivided reverse with an empty printed stamp box; no stamp or cancellation visible.
• No handwritten message or address visible.
• Printed “Union Postale Universelle / Carte Postale,” Chinese lettering, and Matsuda & Co., Yokohama, Japan trade mark.
